Rita Mccall

Rita Marie McCall, age 88, passed away on November 13, 2022 at her home in Littleton, Colorado with her family by her side. She was born on June 30, 1934 in Pembina, North Dakota to Antoinette and Theodore Desrosier. Rita is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jim McCall and their four children, Laurie and David McElwain, Olathe, Kansas, Doug McCall, Monticello, Minnesota, Kevin and Stephanie McCall, Clearlake, Minnesota and Lisa and Don Wollenzin, Arvada, Colorado. She is also survived by one sister, Yvonne Flynn of Canon City, Colorado, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Rita was a retired Registered Nurse who worked at a variety of hospitals as she and Jim followed his career path with the Burlington Northern Railroad through nine cities. While these moves were never easy, she accepted each new location with grace and a smile on her face. Her determination and love for her profession must have been contagious as we now have a total of 6 RN’s in our family- a fact of which she was very proud.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.

A Celebration of Rita’s life will take place on Tuesday, November 29 at 11:00  am. at the Horan And McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado  80227. The family invites all to stay for a luncheon to be served afterwards at the funeral home.
