Rita H. Wright

Rita Wright, 91, died in Denver, Co. on Sept. 20, 2019. Born in Elgin, Ne., she lived most of her life in Omaha, Ne. She moved to Denver in 2011. She worked at Union Pacific Railroad for many years, where she met her husband, Bob Wright. They married in 1972.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Jacob and Eleanor Heil; 4 siblings - Arlene Eischeid, Monica Penne, Paul Heil, and Eleanor Starman; 2 stepchildren - Carol Toftness and George Wright. She is survived by two sisters: Della Zeimens of Chadron, Ne., and Mary Shoemaker of Denver, Co. She is also survived by 6 step grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 1314 Newport, Denver, Co. 80220 on Thursday, Sept. 26, 10:00 am. There will be Visitation at 6:00, followed by the rosary at 7:00 pm on Wed., Sept. 25, at Horan & McConaty Mortuary, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, Co. 80246. Burial will be on Friday, Sept. 27, at 2:00 pm at Fort McPherson in Maxwell, Ne., where Bob is buried.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brookdale Hospice, 5600 S. Quebec St., Ste 375C, Greenwood Village, Co. 80111 or to St. James Catholic Church at the above address.
