Robert Wendell Acree

Robert Wendell Acree, 56, of Aurora, CO passed away July 10, 2009. Born in Amarillo, TX on June 14, 1953, he lived most of his life in Texas before moving to Colorado in 1984. Loving husband of Cynthia Leigh Phillips Acree for 29 years; father of Hope, Austin and Alec. He had a long career as a geologist and environmental specialist and was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. He was predeceased by his mother, Lena Hemphill Acree. Also survived by his father, Zed Wendell Acree of Grand Junction, CO; brother Richard (Carrie) of Grand Junction, CO; sisters-in-law Susan (Jim) Boevers of Salt Lake City, UT, Cathy (B.J.) Gilbreath of Holiday Island, AR, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora Wednes- day, July 15, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of Robert's life will be Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. by the lake at the community park at Shenandoah Subdivision located at 4851 S. Shenandoah Way, followed by interment at Fairmont Cemetery, 430 S. Quebec. Parking for the celebration service will be available at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 4701 S.
