Robert âBob, Little Bobby, Bapa, RT, Old Fartâ Allis, spent the last of his nine lives in Denver, on December 16, 2017. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1925, Bob survived WWII, multiple heart attacks, strokes, bouts with cancer, and open heart surgeries to live 92 colorful years. Bob was an accomplished traveler, fisherman, golfer, card player, inappropriate joke teller and WWII veteran. He loved the good things in life (sometimes a little too much). His early years were full of mischief-making, card playing, golfing and parties in Las Vegas with âLas Vegas Royaltyâ. His later years were spent telling jokes, more card playing and golfing with friends and family at the Denver Country Club (DCC). Bobâs final years were blessed by the amazing people and caregivers at Brookdale Roslyn, who loved Bob, and his rich personality, so very well. Bob is survived by his six children Bob Jr., Peter, Patsy, Nancy, James and Taylor; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; Louise and Louis Allis; and his beloved brothers Ned, Louie, Jack and Bill Allis. A private Celebration Of Life is planned at the Denver Country Club with family, on Thursday, December 21, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Childrenâs Research Hospital, stjude.org, 1800-276-8340 or Wild Bird Rescue & Rehab in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, 303-927-7348. Please share memories of Bob, and condolences with his family, by signing the guestbook below.
