It brings great sadness to announce the passing of Robert Arthur "Art" Recek. Art passed away at his home surrounded by his family in Lakewood on June 27th, 2023, at the age of 84. Art is survived by his wife, Rosie of 64 years; mother, Esther Recek; sister, Gloria Cantonwine (husband, Fred Cantonwine); daughter, Linda Montoya (husband, Ryk Montoya); son, Arthur Recek (wife, Ali Recek); daughter, Tammie Lucero (husband, Kenney Lucero); grandchildren, Gabriel Lucero, Adrian Lucero (wife, Jessica Lucero), Jenny Casanova (husband, Joey Casanova), Andrea Duran, Michelle Bahcekapili (husband, Erman Bahcekapili), Isaac Lucero (wife, Marianna Lucero), Robert Lucero, and Arthur (Alika) Recek; great-grandchildren, Jayla Lucero, Isaiah Duran, Adrian Lucero Jr, Mila Lucero, Siena Casanova, and Quetzalli Lucero. Art was born on June 14th,1939, in Mexico City, Mexico, where he lived until the age of 11, when he was adopted by Robert C. Recek and Esther G. Recek and moved to Colorado to flourish and met the love of his life Rosie. He attended West High School in Denver, CO and became a talented painting contractor. He was known for his incredible generosity, humor, dedication and mentoring of numerous generations. He was a kind, funny, supportive husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. No matter what anyone needed, he was there to help. He will always be remembered with love for all these virtues.
