Robert Bob Beran

Robert (Bob) F. Beran, a Littleton resident, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2006 after a long illness. Born September 19, 1923 in Chicago, IL, he spent his childhood and early adult years in Chicago. During World War II, Bob honorably served as a staff sergeant and B-24 engineer and waist gunner in the 15th Allied Air Force, in which he completed 51 missions in the European Theatre of Operations. Following the war, Bob was employed by Western Electric; he transferred to Colorado with Western Electric in 1965. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, bowling, trips to "The Hill", and "The Broncos". Bob is survived by Beatrice, his loving wife of 59 years; three daughters, Roberta Ogle, Donna Foster, and Nancy Casey; 5 grandchildren' 2 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Gertrude Matousek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Ella Beran. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missionaries of Charity-Seton House, 1840 Grant St., Denver, CO 80203.
