Robert Jay Beutler of Lakewood, CO

Robert Jay Beutler, 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He resided in Lakewood Reserve in Lakewood, Colorado. He was born January 1, 1926, in Wakarusa, Indiana, son of Jacob and Florence Beutler. On March 10, 1951 he was united in marriage to Colleen Belle Beutler, who preceded him in death. He attended Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana and was employed by Bendix, working as a mechanical engineer on aircraft projects until his retirement. Robert was a longtime member of the United Missionary Church where he served in many capacities. He is survived by his children Kelly Beutler of Roann, Indiana and Susie Martinez of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Julie Beutler; son-in-law, Joe Martinez; grandchildren: Laura Beutler, Paul Beutler, Christopher Martinez and Cassandra Martinez; and brother Albert Beutler of South Bend, Indiana. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Beutler of Goshen, Indiana, and two half brothers, Charles Yoder and Harold Yoder. A graveside service will be held on August 9th at 9:00am at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
