Bob, 87, of Denver, passed away May 5, 2009. Bob was born February 14, 1922 in Denver to J. Frank and Berenice Binder. He was a graduate of North High School and Colorado State University. He served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant in George Patton's Third Army and was severely wounded in 1944 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his bravery in action. Bob is survived by his wife, Sybil; son, Steve (Sharon); daughter, Kathy; 3 step-daughters, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and brother, Richard (Iris) Binder. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Dawson Leeper and his sister, Joan Binder Rice. Funeral Service, Tues. 5/12 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood followed by Burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 11:30 AM, Shelter ""B"". In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob's honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
