Robert Lee Bobo, III

Robert Lee Bobo III died in his home in Aurora, CO on July 3rd, 2024. He was 69 Years Old.

Robert was born in Los Angeles, California on May 2nd, 1955. During his time in Los Angeles, Robert, along with his brother Larry (Deceased) and two sisters Angela and Sandra were raised in a loving family by their Father, Robert Bobo Jr. and mother Bernice Bobo. In his childhood, Robert was part of a singing group during the ever popular Motown era called the “Five Young Gents”. They traveled around the Western United States participating in singing competitions during the late 60s and early 70s. On top of singing, Robert was also into restoration and “fixing up” cars with his friends in his South Central Los Angeles neighborhood. In 1973, Robert graduated from Manual Arts High School and went into the Army where he would serve his country for the next 5 years with the majority of his time spent in Germany in preparation for the Vietnam War.

 Upon returning to the United States in 1978, Robert found a job working with Pinkerton Security Services in Southern California. Around this same time, Robert met Patricia Ann Bronner who at the time was friends with Angela. The job and meeting Patricia would shape the rest of Robert’s life as he went on to marry Patricia just a couple of years later and eventually work his way up through the ranks to Senior Vice President with G4S Security (formally Wackenhut and Pinkerton). Patricia and Robert spent 43 wonderful years together and had two sons, Robert Bobo IV and Patrick Bobo (Deceased). Patrick passed away in October of 2021 and Patricia passed away in November of 2023. He is survived by Robert Bobo IV and Alexandra Bobo (Granddaughter) who both reside in Aurora, CO.

 Funeral Services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Aurora, CO on Wednesday, July 17th at 1pm. Together we will celebrate Robert’s life, hear from his closest friends and family and send him off to rest in peace along side Patricia and Patrick.
