Robert Emmett Bohlen, 82, passed away May 25, 2011 in Thornton, Colorado. He was born April 24, 1929, in Denver, Colorado to Frank H. and Hellen M. Smith Bohlen. He married Charlotte Mae Nation July 22, 1950. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2007. Bob was extremely fond of camping and fishing and getting away to the mountains. He served in the US Marine Corps and after many years, retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. Bob is survived by his five children, Diane Scheitlin, of Brighton, CO; Robert C. Bohlen, David Bohlen, Kenneth Bohlen and Sheri Griffin, all of Thornton, CO; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, Herman, Mildred, Edward, Ann, Frank and Henry ""Bud"". A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 9am, with the Funeral Service scheduled to begin at 10am, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
