My Father, a man of many hats, skills, and talents. I for one, am a son who shared in his gifts he unselfishly demonstrated for others. His wisdom served through a life time of experience practiced. He was, and his memory shall always be a beacon for the lowly hearted who witnessed his trials and his victories. My Father now rests. He overcame triumphant. I have learned to recognize, my Dad has been my role-model of goodness gifted to me by our Heavenly Father. He was a brother to his family; a fighter and a defender of the week. He gave from his heart to provide for those in need. My Father is the Patriarch of our Family. My Mother was the apple spark in his radiant blue eyes; he would never forget. Dad was the the strength behind the vision of inspiration to his children's lives, and found everlasting comfort among the angels sent to him from heaven in the beauty of a Colorado Columbine. A Petty Officer First Class Navy Sailor who was always, ""Haze Grey and Underway."" A patriot to our Country, and a hero of our Nation. A two time recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for, ""Heroic Meritorious Achievement,"" during the Korean Conflict of 1950, and again for ""Heroic Meritorious Service,"" during the Vietnam War through 1971. He was loyal and to many, Bob was known as a, ""Friends Friend."" A skilled Printer and Master Photographer. A tradesman, singer, guitar musician, the song writer of, ""The Purple Heart,"" a poet, an entertainer & a performer. My Father's journey afforded him many pleasures as an Outdoorsman. Dad's spirit as a modern frontiersman emboldened his romantic appreciation for the Alaskan wildlife, the nature of the Rocky Mountain wilderness, and the freedoms of the American way of life. Bob was a marksman in many aspects of his life. Dad's athleticism demonstrated to me the art of aiming small to miss small in our own pursuit of goals and happiness. My Father was no stranger to companionship. Dad was a dogs best friend. Although Buck was a symbol of suffering from his absence in times of war, Coco resurrected his His hopes and dreams in times of peace. My Father is a spiritual man. He would forever seek until he would one day find his loving redeemer. Dad Is my guiding light to the faith we both share in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My Father once labored in vein, and his life became heavy burdened. The following scripture commemorates His life worthy of our attention: Matthew 11:28-30 1.""Come unto ïééme, all ye that labour and are ïééheavy laden, and I will give you rest. 2.""Take my yoke upon you, and ïéélearn of me; for I am ïéémeek and lowly in heart: and ïééye shall find rest unto your souls. 3.For ïéémy yoke is easy, and my burden is light."" My Father's chosen epitaph is a life time worth achievement as a testimony for us all: ""Into your hands Jesus, I commit my Spirit."" My Father now rests. Dad overcame triumphant.
