Robert D. 'Bob' Bowman

Robert D. ""Bob"" Bowman was born on March 29, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to Frank and Marjorie. Bob grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado and graduated from the Douglas County High School in 1963. As he was attending high school, he had his sights on becoming a funeral director. He attended 2 years of college then began working at the Moore Mortuary in Denver. He then went to the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. At the time of graduating he was working at the N. Gray and Associates Funeral Home which later affiliated with Halstead Mortuary. Bob continued working for them until his retirement in March 2010. He retired to his dream home in Palm Springs, California where he enjoyed the warmth and beauty of the desert community. Bob passed very suddenly on February 16th at his home. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Chuck (Connie) of Littleton, Colorado and Jim (Anita) of Monte Vista, Colorado; his nieces April Bowman, Kelly (Michael) Hornung, Christina (Graham) Parr, Jennifer Bowman, Kimberly Bowman; and nephew Steven Bowman. Bob was very proud of his 10-month old great nephew, Carson Parr. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 24th at 1:00pm at the Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue in Denver, Colorado. Memorial Donations may be made in Bob's name to Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver, 4045 Pecos Street, Denver, Colorado 80211.
