Robert Walter Bromm

January 4, 1915 — December 30, 2007

Robert Walter Bromm ?Bob?, was born in Denver Colorado on January 4, 1915. He grew up on South Williams street in Denver and a graduated from South high school. He worked at the Haanstad camera shop on 16th street before joining the Army Air Force in January 1942. He was discharged as a staff sergeant on November 1945 and served his time in the service installing and maintaining aircraft cameras used in reconnaissance. He married in August of 1943 and had two children, Donna and Robert. He lived for a short time in California and then moved back to Denver. His first marriage ended in 1959 at which time he moved to Honolulu. He spent several years in Hawaii with his brother William. He met his second wife Josephine ?Jo? in Hawaii on a tip from his brother Jim and fell in love for a second time. He married ?Jo? in September 1963 and lived in West Lakewood. Josephine preceded him in death on October 2004. Bob was employed in the automotive business until his retirement. He was an avid fly fisherman and both he and Jo spent much of their free time fishing. One of their favorite places was Riverview in the mountains and Lake City Colorado. He was also a great dancer and both he and Jo were members of the now defunct Aviation Club in Lakewood where he and Jo both danced and socialized. Bob always loved a good joke and always had lots of them to share with anyone who talked to him. Bob had two sisters, Ruth and Lois and two brothers, William and James. He is survived by William who resides in California and Lois who resides in Washington State. His daughter Donna, lives in the Philippines and his son Robert lives in Georgia. He will be greatly missed by his brother, sister, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and his special friend Gail. He was sharp and witty right up to the end and a joy to be with as well as talk to. He was looking forward to being with Jo and was grateful for a full and happy life.
