Bob, age 89, passed away October 16, 2009. Beloved husband of Emily for 68 years; loving father of Robert Roy (Sandra) Cooley, Daniel Albert (Susan) Cooley, Patricia J. (Rodney) Rodriguez, Barbara Ann (Elmer) Hanks, Debra Sue (John) Costigan; proud grandfather of Patrick (Denise) Cooley, the late Diana Fields, Daniel Cooley, Jennifer (Tom) Andrews, Christopher Cooley, Tracie Rodriguez, Michael (Jessica) Rodriguez, Kristin (Darin) Dalton, Thomas (Susan) Bogert, John Costigan, James (Samantha) Costigan, Shannon Costigan; great grandfather of James Cooley, Elexis Cooley, John Cooley, Aaron Fields, Samantha Cooley, Macie Calderon, Addison Andrews, Jaurdan Andrews, Codie Tart, Taylor Tart, Joren Rodriguez, MacKenna Dalton, Jack Dalton, Chyanne Bogert, Madison Bogert, Caleb Costigan, Collin Costigan; and great great grandfather of Kaydance Andrews. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a generous, loving man who was very proud of his family. He loved to play golf and kept himself busy with creative projects, making gifts with wood, leather and even needle point. He also enjoyed baking pies and bread making family occasions extra special. He was actively involved as a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 21, 4:00 - 6:30 with Rosary begining at 6:30 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 22, 10:00 am at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Pkwy., Denver. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Charities: Samaritan House Homeless Shelter, 2301 Lawrence St., Denver, CO 80205.
