Bob died peacefully at home on June 22 following a three year battle with leukemia. He was 78. He was born Novemeber 29, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. His parents were Charles and Edith (Thompson) Dimler. Bob graduated from South High School in 1949 and joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for seven years. He saw duty on the west coast and in Alaska, especially enjoying the island of Kodiak where he was inducted into the ""sons of Willowa"". In September of 1952 he married Beverly Jean Whitman in Denver. She preceded him in death in 1983. Bob worked for Western Electric Co. as an installer for over 30 years and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He was an active member of Bear Valley American Legion post No. 84. He was also a member of the Colorado Chip and Token club and the American Numismatic Association. He found spiritual solace and fellowship in Alcoholics Anonymous and faithfully followed their tenets from June 17th 1982 until his death. His daughter Amy preceded him in death. He is survived by his brothers: Richard (Hastings, Nebraska) and Roy. His daughter Elisa Townshend and son and daughter in law Andrew and Ana Dimler. Six grandchildren: Samuel, Jack and Quinn, Patterson and Juan, Andrea, and Myra Dimler. Services at Fort Logan Natl. Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. on July 9th. Reception to follow at family home.
