Robert Joseph Encinias Born : June 2, 1970 Passed Away : October 24, 2010 Robert Joseph Encinias was born 2 months premature at Denver General Hospital in Denver, CO. He remained in the hospital for two months and was placed in an incubator like an oxygen bubble. Rob is a man known by many names such as: Dad, Son, Robert, Joey, Brother, Cuz, and of course Uncle Rob! Rob started his education in Michigan. He has lived in five states: NM, TX, AZ and later in life finally landed in CO and made it his home. He is the 3rd child born to Connie Baca. He is the brother of Sam, Loretta, and Tricia. He was 12 when he started training to be a boxer with the VFW Boxing Club. He continued boxing where he won a Golden Gloves Championship with the Trinidad Stars. He attended Jr. High and High School in Lakewood, CO. While attending Lakewood Senior High he was always an honor roll student and ended up graduating a semester early in 1988. He played football and baseball. Rob was bilingual and created his own business, Encinias General Contracting, specializing in all phases of roofing, gutters, siding, and decks. Encinias General Contracting has been serving Colorado since 1988. He was confirmed in 2008 and was an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and joined the Knights of Columbus. Rob became a dad to Robert Joseph Encinias Jr. better known as Joey, on October 2, 1991. Five years later Rob married Kelly Omeg on April 26, 1997 in Denver, CO. They were married for 11 years. They honeymooned on Grand Cayman Island. While there he lost his wedding band swimming in the Caribbean Sea. Rob was blessed with two more children, Rebecka Grace was born March 17, 1999 and Autumn Emelia was born June 9, 2002. Rob's kids are the love of his life. He called the girls ""my princesses"" and he called Joey ""SON"". Rob was a fanatic about all sports. He was a Denver Broncos, Avalanche and Colorado Rockies fan. Rob camped, fished, skied, and he adored his Harley Davidson. Rob loved music and dancing. He put a softball team together of his own and ran it for several years. He also enjoyed a good round of Golf and challenged Joey. He also enjoyed coaching Rebecka's baseball team and Joey's football team. He was highly completive and was out to win! Rob enjoyed entertaining everyone and welcomed anyone in his home. Rob was well known for helping people, not only his family and friends but total, complete strangers. How far did he go? He not only spent hundreds of hours of his personal time but thousands of dollars as well. What was his expectation in return for his generosity? Absolutely NOTHING!!! One example of Rob's generosity was if someone needed a high dollar lawyer, he volunteered payment. If anyone had a problem Rob made it HIS problem. If you needed someone to listen, Rob listened. Rob also enjoyed traveling to Disney World and Universal Studios in Fl. He has also vacationed at the Bahamas but his favorite vacation spot was Cancun , Mexico.. "". Rob was serious about a lot of things but he also possessed a funny, joking, silly, comical personality. Rob was DARING, fearless, stubborn, headstrong and brilliant. Rob always had a bright smile and you would often find him giggling. Rob was always telling his mom and kids, ""DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF! Preceded in death by his Grandparents Archie Cruz, Emma Cruz, Clayton, NM and Jose & Marcella Encinias, Tucumcari NM and his nephew Samuel Patrick Mascarenas-Encinias, Littleton, CO. A Funeral Mass for Rob will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 29, 2010, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 West Chatfield Avenue, Littleton, Colorado.
