Robert G. Fritsch

March 17, 1943 — March 12, 2025

Robert G. Fritsch, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2025. He had many health issues, but had fought to regain his strength and was looking forward to upcoming plans. In spite of the shock of the loss at this time, the family is comforted that he had been doing so well and died peacefully at home. We rejoice that he is reunited with the love of his life, Jelena.

Bob was born on March 17, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Waggener High School and from Murray State University. While at Murray, he was in the ROTC Program and began his military career. He retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel working in hospital administration.

While in the military he met Jelena Shuput and they were married in 1970. They enjoyed their time stationed in various countries and while in Okinawa, gave birth to their son, Jovan. Denver, Colorado was home for many years, but more recently, they lived in Chandler, AZ to be near their son and grandchildren.

After retirement from the Army, Bob worked in customer service for Mass Mutual and Oppenheimer Funds.

Bob and Jelena were very active in the Serbian community and the Orthodox church. They spent much time and energy in refugee work.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Fritsch, and his loving wife, Jelena. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Sue Woolley; his son, Jovan; and his grandchildren: Sarah (Cooper), Jackson, and Carson.
