Robert Garner Graham, Jr.

November 1, 1939 — April 4, 2014

Robert ""Bob"" Garner Graham Jr., aged 74, of Denver, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a child of God through the waters of Holy Baptism and is now in paradise with his Savior. Bob was born to Robert Garner Graham and Miriam Robinson in Davenport, IA on November 1, 1939. He graduated from Moline High School and went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After graduating, he traveled around the world for a year before moving to San Francisco to attend Hastings Law School. He then moved to Denver and worked as a banker for a year before he decided to join Perry & Butler Residential, which launched his career as a Realtor. In 1972 he left that firm to work for Fuller & Co. Real Estate until 1992 when he started Graham & Sons Real Estate with his son Willy. Bob loved spending time in the mountains and playing sports. He was a long-time member of the Denver Athletic Club and loved to indulge in competition over racquetball and tennis with his friends and family. He also enjoyed good food and loved to travel. He is survived by his cherished wife, Diana ""Annie,"" six children: Robert (Liz) Garner Graham III, Joseph (Allison) Wellington Graham, Justin (Vanessa) Cochrane, Matthew (Shannon) Cochrane, Bo (Hannah) Graham, and Heidi (Adam) Hengst, along with ten wonderful grandchildren whom he took great pride in: Taylor, Caldwell, Ashley, Katherine, Beatrix, Emma, Lucy, John, Adelaide and Annie. He was strong, stubborn and knew no strangers. He will be dearly missed by friends and family. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Mary Linda Graham of Mendocino, CA and Diana Coulombe of Santa Rosa, CA. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8th from 6-8pm at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 11am at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 7691 S. University Blvd., Centennial.
