Robert Hartmann

Robert "Bob" Hartmann, age 87, died peacefully in his sleep in Lafayette, CO on October 16th, 2020, of natural causes.

Bob was born October 18th,1932 in Toledo, Ohio. Bob enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 17 where he served his country for four years, 1949-1953. He received a Medal of Good Conduct during this time. He later moved to Colorado. He settled in Arvada, CO where he provided a home for his family. Bob enjoyed working as an Electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No. 68 of Denver. During his time with the Union he worked for Wazee Electric, Sturgeon and JA Jones at Rocky Flatts. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Foresters where he attended events with his wife Betty and his family. Camping with the Foresters allowed wonderful memories to be made over the years with his family, including his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years Betty Hartmann; children Tom Hartmann (Carla Hartmann), Sonya Harr and Diana Hartmann; brother Karl Hartmann (Linda Hartmann); 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Lucius and Cora Hartmann; sister Phyllis Ann Hartmann.

Bob's final resting place will be at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, CO. A gathering for a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer. This will allow us to celebrate him outdoors safely due to the pandemic.
