Robert W. Hite

Robert W. Hite, 71, of Denver, died December 4, 2007, having LIVED with cancer for 5 years. He is survived by Sarah, his wife of 47 years; his children Katie (David) Wilkins, John (Tiel Lundy) Hite, Laura (Rodney) Hargrave, Martha (Brian) Turner, Amy (Joe) Kubitschek; grandchildren Sarah & Grace Wilkins, Charlotte & Tessa Hite, Lilly & Henry Hargrave, Caroline & Allison Turner, Lia & Jakub Kubitschek; one brother Whitney Hite. Bob was born in Ft. Scott, KS; graduated from Colorado Springs High School, The Colorado College, & New York University School of Law. He served as a JAG in the U.S. Navy. He was General Counsel for Mr. Steak, Inc. He served on the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District Board of Directors for 17 years before being appointed District Manager in 1988. He had an active leadership role in several national clean water associations. He is Chairman of Mountain States Employers Council, Board Member of Water for People, member of Denver Mile High Rotary Club, and The University Club.
