Robert Leslie Hobbs

Robert Leslie Hobbs (Les) April 22nd, 1936 – May 24th, 2011 Les is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy; daughters Kelly (Tim) Valiant, Karen (Russ) Sveda; brother Noel (Linda) Hobbs; sister-in-law Deanna Hobbs; grandchildren Courtney Martin, Colin Martin and Jenna McElvain. Preceded in death by his father Herbert Hobbs, mother Dorothy (Joe) Warren and brother Harold Hobbs. Les was born and raised in Lurgan, Northern Ireland until he was 21 years old. He then began a journey to the United States, which very quickly became his new home. With much pride and love, he could not wait to become a US citizen and called himself ""the all American boy"". Les was truly the most amazing man, son, husband, dad, brother, grandpa and friend to all. He was loving, patient, caring, devoted, funny and sincere. These weren't traits he worked at, they simply were who he was, everyday of his life. Those who knew Les, felt blessed and honored to have met him and share in his life. We have all become better people as we have been touched by his love. Les always had a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye. Here's to you Les; you have created a wonderful legacy to be proud of, and we are the most proud of you.
