Robert ""Bob"" Huckaby

January 21, 1933 — August 15, 2018

Robert ""Bob"" Huckaby, 85, of Lakewood, passed away August 15, 2018. Bob was born in Denver, Colorado in 1933. He worked in the printing industry until he decided to teach printing at Warren Tech. where he retired after Twenty Years. Bob enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge of printing with countless students over the years, and kept in touch with many of them. Bob received his B.S. in Education as well as an M.S. in Vocational Education from CSU. As his three children were growing up he was active coaching little league baseball and basketball, and he positively impacted many lives in the process. Bob was an avid Broncos season ticket holder for over 30 years. He enjoyed goose and pheasant hunting, playing Keno, and in recent years loved watching bull riding. Once Bob's grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren came along, he was a vocal supporter of any and all activities they were involved in. He loved spending time with family. Bob never met a stranger, and he could talk to anyone about anything.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Elsie Huckaby.

He is survived by: His wife, and best friend of 61 years Verona;

Children: Michael Huckaby (Terrie), Nancy Kichler (Martin), Anne Brosier (Scott);

Grandchildren: Shannon Lafler (Kevin), Michelle Brosier, Steven Kichler, Melissa Nesmith, Amy Ticknor (Luke), Ty Brosier (Brielle);

Great Grandchildren: Charlotte Lafler, Easton Brosier, Esmeralda Lafler, Marley Ticknor;

Sister: Evelyn Pierce (Richard);

Brother: Donald Huckaby (Marie);

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado, 80219 at Ten O’Clock in the Morning. A Reception in Bob’s honor following the service will be held in the reception center at church from Eleven O’Clock in the Morning till Twelve-thirty in the Afternoon.

Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be Friday, August 24, 2018 at One-thirty in the Afternoon.
