Robert ""Bob"" ""Junior"" Franklin Jackson passed away on January 2, 2019. He was born on June 3rd, 1939 in Otis, Colorado and was the son of Robert âFrankâ Franklin and Lela Ruth Jackson. Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet, his son, Robert, his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John and the light of his life, his granddaughter Kaylee.
He often called Kaylee his love-girl and was there from the moment she was born. He was always proud of her, carried pictures of her everywhere and told everyone about her. He was the best Papa to Kaylee and would care for her no matter what. He would leave his dinner just to look at flowers with her when she was young and carried her everywhere. He enjoyed going to all her games and awards throughout the years and made Kaylee feel like she could do anything in the world.
Robert met the love of his life at 23 when he returned home from his service as a Sargent in the Army. From that moment on, 17-year-old Janet said he was the love of her life, her soul, heart and being. Six months after they met, Robert and Janet were married, they lived and worked side by side from that day on. Their greatest joy through the years was spending time together. They always put God, Family, Friends, and each other above all else. They enjoyed raising their children, taking care of their family and making others happy.
Robert worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. He owned and operated many companies over the years with his wife by his side. He always enjoyed his work and the people he worked with throughout his life. He considered them a part of his extended family and they felt the same way about him. He will be missed by all but remembered as a man of many virtues who had a passion for life. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed laughing and joking with his family and friends and he made friends wherever he went.
Robert considered his friends to be family and enjoyed spending time with them in the Corvette Club and on the Golf Course. He was proud of his three hole in ones and was glad to share those accomplishments with his friends. It is difficult to describe such a man as honorable, generous, respected, kind, modest and loving as Robert. This is just a fragment of what we could share of his remarkable life. We will carry him and his stories with us in our hearts forever.
