Robert Kevin Allen

Robert Kevin Allen, affectionately known as Bob, passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 65 in Thornton, Colorado. He was born on September 12, 1958, to Ed and Thelma Allen in Denver, Colorado where he lived a simple, loving, family-filled upbringing as the third of five children and the eldest son.  

Bob started his career at Rocky Mountain Orthodontics in 1975 at the age of 17. He dedicated 38 years of his life to RMO, working in various departments and advancing in his career before retiring from his role as Production Control Manager in 2013 at the age of 55.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed indulging in his hobbies. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, a self-proclaimed speed freak, and a loyal Denver Broncos fan. Bob also found joy in beautifying his home and yard and spending time with his family and friends.

Bob was a devoted husband and father and a beloved grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for his kind heart, good nature, generosity, and easy smile.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jody Madrid Allen; daughters Angela Leist (Tim) and Jennifer Trickler (Brian); grandchildren Austin Allen, Morgan Sheppard (Cameron), Ty Leist, Jade Allen, Nick Trickler, and Josh Trickler; great-grandchildren Preston Sheppard, Ryland Sheppard, and Athena Allen; sister Dennise Herder (Ed); brother-in-law Bruce Johnson and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed Allen and Thelma Allen and siblings Christine Johnson, Ken Allen, and Brian Allen.

Bob will be deeply missed and his legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will forever be cherished.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday May 20th at 2:00pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation, 9998 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
