Robert Longenecker

Robert Daniel “Bob” Longenecker, at age 86, passed away peacefully in his home in Centennial, Colorado on May 29th, 2023. Born on February 6th, 1937 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Judith (Pressel) Longenecker, three children, Robert, Elizabeth, and John and four grandchildren, Loren, Landon, Lisa, and Sydney who referred to him as “Pap.” He is also survived by siblings MaryAnn, Tim, and Kathy of Lebanon, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Christine Longenecker.

Bob will be remembered for his unconditional support and love for his family, dry and witty humor, and positive attitude despite trials and tribulations of life. He was naturally athletic, photogenic, and wise. Bob proudly graduated from Colorado State University in 1961 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering he used for the duration of his 40-year career. Over the course of his life, he enjoyed baseball, golf, and hunting.

Memorial services will take place in Highlands Ranch, Colorado on Saturday June 17th at 10:00am at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. (8817 South Broadway 80129.) Instead of sending flowers or gifts, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to support children and families battling cancer.
