Robert E. Martinez, Sr.

Robert, 84, passed away on June 19, 2012. Born in Segundo, Colorado to John M. and Amalia (Bargas) Martinez.

Robert served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, from 1945 to 1947 and was an electrician by trade. He could build anything and enjoyed doing it. He spent free time fishing, hunting and watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy Martinez; son, Robert E. Martinez, Jr.; granddaughters, LaRae Martinez and Rene Bagley; mother to his granddaughters, Johnna Merrill; great grandchildren, Isaiha and Kameron; siblings Joe (Flora) Martinez, Arsenio “Chunkey” (Nettie) Martinez, Clara (Froylan) Martinez, Maryann (George) Medina, Cristela (Bill) Moncrief, John Mathew Martinez, Florence (Ernest) Lucero, Eugene (Helen) Martinez and Terry (Clark) Taylor; brothers-in-law Joseph and Julian Aragon; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 3:00 PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, in Thornton, Colorado. Reception to follow service.
