Robert Matter

Robert Gene Matter, age 59, died on October 23, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.  He passed away after a hard fight with glioblastoma.   Bob was born on December 21, 1963. An Eagle Scout at age twelve, Bob had an ability to solve any problem, and he often pushed on closed doors to make them open.  He was a graduate of Indiana University in Public and Environmental Affairs with an emphasis on Public Administration. He went on to receive his Masters in International Affairs from Florida State.  Bob moved to Colorado in 1996 where he met and married Carrie Sarah Anderson in 2007.  Bob was most proud of his work starting Assisted Cycling Tours and A New Spin Bicycle Shop.  He was an avid cyclist and a proponent for people with disabilities.  He brought laughter, acceptance and joy to others.  Making pizza and bread for people brought him happiness.  

Bob is survived by his wife Carrie and his sons David, Liam and Timothy.  He is also survived by siblings Colleen (Randy) Endsley, Karen (Ken)Anderson, William (Kate) Matter and Kathy (Richard) Duval, nieces, nephews and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents (Gene and Patricia Matter) and sister (Rose Millard).
