Robert J. Hilton, M.D.

Robert J. Hilton, M.D., 80, of Denver, passed away on July 3, 2012. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 59 years, Janice W. Hilton on June 23, 2012. Survived by children, Kimberly Hilton, Robert & his wife Margaret Hilton, and Lane & her husband Rick Arndt; grandchildren, Palmer, Tyler & Carly; sisters, Jan & her husband Homer Ocamb, Sue Waller, Jill & her husband Henry Fieger; brother, Jim & his wife Judy Hilton; and many nieces and nephews. Bob attended the University of Boulder and went on to attend the C.U. School of Medicine, graduating in 1959. During his time at the University, Bob met the love of his life, Janice. He received his license to practice medicine in July of 1960. Bob joined the National Air Guard and served 2 years and 9 months. Bob started practicing as a psychiatrist in Denver in 1965 and just recently retired from private practice but continued to work part-time for the Social Security Administration. Bob had so many hobbies and interests over the years. He loved to ski, motorcycle trail ride, travel, and learned to fly, owning his own small plane for awhile and then decided to build his own ultralight and spent lots of his free time flying it. He belonged to the Denver Clinical & Pathological Society and most recently, was involved in MUFON as a field investigator. Celebration of Life, Fri., July 13, 11am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Ave., Arvada. Reception to follow at 12:30pm, Rolling Hills Country Club, 15707 W. 26th Ave., Golden.
