Robert Alexander De Nileon

Robert A. De Nileon passed away 11-4-06. Preceded in death by wife of 56 years, Irene. Beloved father of Robert (Sherry) of Watkins, Michael (Gay) of Wheat Ridge, Margaret Bergseid of Baton Rouge, La. Also survived by brother, Henry; sisters, Mary Rossi, Bertha Whitehead, and Louella Campling-Bauer; 9 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Born April 12, 1918 in Belltown, PA, one of eight children. He moved to Denver as a child and graduated from North H. S. A Purple Heart recipient, he fought in several campaigns in Italy during World War II as a member of the US Army 230th Military Police Co. After the war, he settled in North Denver, worked as an ice man with brother Richard, then at Rocky Mountain Arsenal. He became a materials specialist for FAA in 1962 until retiring. Longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and American Legion Post 161. Visitation, Tues., 4-7 PM, Rosary at 7:00 PM, Horan and McConaty Chapel, 3020 Federal Blvd. Funeral Mass, Wed., 12:00, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Blvd. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
