Robert Mitchell Pekish

Robert Mitchell Pekish was born in New Underwood, South Dakota on May 28, 1932, to Mike Pekish and Beulah M. (Hudson) Pekish, and passed away in Northglenn, Colorado, on April 9, 2017, at age 84. He was married to Anna Mae (Bohte) Pekish on November 28, 1953. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2017. Robert was career Air Force and retired as a Tech Sergeant. He is survived by his children; Michael Pekish, Mark Pekish, Donna Scurlock and her husband Bruce, Joseph Pekish, Joyce Pekish and Jerry Pekish and his wife Kristen. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Christie Pekish, Michael Scurlock, Justin Scurlock, Steven Scurlock, Bob Pekish, Jeremy Pekish, Lorne Pekish, Tony Eckenrod, Ryan Machesky, Megan Machesky, and Alex Pekish, his great grandchildren; Abby Burchfield, Blake Pekish, Bryce Pekish, Tina Scurlock, Andrew Scurlock, Triston Scurlock, Cameron Scurlock, Makenzie Scurlock, Meah Scurlock, Belan Pekish, JoJo Pekish and Isabelle Harper; brother Lee Pekish and his sister Patricia Payne. Robert was preceded in death by his grandson John Scurlock and his great granddaughter, Angelina Scurlock. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 18th, 5PM - 6PM, followed by the Rosary at 6PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 19th, 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive in Northglenn. Following the Mass, interment will full Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force will take place at 12:30 PM, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
