Robert Lee Pelzel

Robert Lee Pelzel, 82, passed away on May 30, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Hays, Kansas in 1935. Robert was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Denver and went on to a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder (1960). He worked as a Professional Engineer at Public Service Company of Colorado for over 30 years. His hobbies included cars, traveling, and amateur aviation (he was a licensed pilot). Robert was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Lucia (Guadagnoli) Pelzel whom he married in 1963. He is survived by his son Rodney, granddaughter Rory, brother Kenneth, and sisters Bernice, Dorothy, and Geneva. There will be a Public Visitation for Robert from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, 80246. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 14 at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, 3060 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, 80222. Entombment will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, 80033.
