Robert Lee Pollard

Robert L. Pollard, 66, of Aurora died Friday, September 25, 2009 after complications from a lung transplant. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Mary F. Pollard; children Robert W. Pollard and wife Heather, Nichole Truitt and husband Ben; grandchildren Faith and Mason Truitt; sister Valarie Murphy; brother Rick Pollard; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born in Ogden, Utah on March 11, 1943 to Robert W. and Mary V. Pollard. He attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a degree in Architectural Engineering. He later received masters degrees in Accounting and Finance and International Business from Regis University and made his career in the construction industry. He served in the United States Air Force and will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and was very passionate about his country and politics. Rob was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and good friend to many. He is loved dearly by his family and friends and will be missed. A memorial service to celebrate Rob's life will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 2:30 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. A public viewing will take place prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF) in honor of Rob Pollard, 150 North Radnor Chester Road Suite F-120, Radnor, PA 19087, 1-800-642-8399.
