Robert Allen Prochnow passed away on August 19, 2016, at the age of 95, at the Life Care Center of Stonegate in Parker, Colorado. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Alan and Elizabeth. Robert is survived by his children Bob (Liz), Doug (Debbie), Sandy (Brian), Brad (Glendell), eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Darleen, his parents Alan and Elizabeth, his sister Virginia, and daughter-in-law Carol. Robert grew up in Chicago and lived there until 1959. He lived in Kansas City for 34 years, retiring there after working for the New York Life Insurance Company, and then moved to Highlands Ranch, where he spent his last 18 years with his wife and family. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a field photographer and a trainer for the Normandy invasion bombardiers. He was honorably discharged in 1945. Robert enjoyed playing golf, and coached youth baseball teams. He was married to his beloved wife, Darleen for 60 years. They loved to travel and spend time with their children and grandchildren. Robert was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and country. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Fort Logan National Cemetery at 4400 W Kenyon Avenue, in Denver, Colorado.
