Robert Leroy "Bob" Salazar of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on August 29, 2023 at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center in Centennial, Colorado after a short illness.
Bob was born on June 8, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. He was an avid baseball player and Class President for all four years at Manual High School, Class of 1957. He worked as a freight agent for 28 years with the original Frontier Airlines, followed by many years with United Airlines without ever taking a single sick day. Bob was always quick to help a stranger or friend in need, never afraid to tackle a project and he took great pride in being a guy you could depend on. He treasured spending time at his homes in Grand Lake, CO and Bullhead City, AZ. He cherished his many friends. He was immensely proud of his Native American heritage and enjoyed gardening, woodworking, drinking beer and listening to music.
Bob is survived by his daughter Joy, son Chris (Lori), five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa; son, Dennis; parents, Amado and Delia; brother, Walter and nephews, Tim (Walt) and Eric.
A service honoring Bob's life will be held at Noon on September 11, 2023 at Horan and McConaty on Parker Rd in Aurora, CO. Following the service, Bob will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Cemetery in Aurora, CO.
He will be deeply missed and memories of his life will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with resilience and an unwavering spirit of helpfulness.
