Robert Earl Stong, Junior was found deceased in his home in Littleton, Colorado on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Rob attended Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tennessee and Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana. Born in Peoria, Illinois on July 31, 1952, to Ann Abbott Stong and Robert Earl Stong, Sr. He is survived by his Father Robert E. Stong, and his sister Christy Stong Blakely, and husband Todd Blakely. His son, Weston Stong. Weston resides in New Hampshire with wife, Mikael Myers Stong and grandson, Miles Keith Stong. He is also survived by his daughter, Cassandra “Cassie” Stong, currently living in Colorado. Rob loved his many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.
Rob lived and worked in Alaska, Tennessee, and Washington before moving to CO. Rob, was a PGA Pro in golf since 1997. Rob worked at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Tirado golf course in Grand Junction and finally at Raccoon Creek in Littleton Colorado.
Rob spent many happy days with friends at the Telluride Blue Grass Festival. He was known to serve hundreds breakfast and be the campsite to just hang and shoot the breeze. Rob had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed many outdoor sports.
Rob will be remembered for his easy-going there manner, his quick wit, and his love of the game of golf. Rob grew up in Peoria, Illinois. Rob’s idea of a great day was 18 holes of golf and time with friends at the end.
There will be a small Memorial Service for Robert at Holly Creek Retirement, 5500 E Peakview Ave, Centennial, CO 80121, in Fellowship Hall at 3:30 PM on July 14, 2022.
