Robert Straight

Robert Straight leaves behind his wife Claudia, friends, and family with a loving heart too soon! Robert loved his cats and three dogs Rocky, Ziggy and Peanut. Ziggy and Peanut were waiting for him in heaven. Robert is survived by his stepdaughter Brittany, son in law Jake, and his beloved grandson Ayden. Robert is also survived by his mother Barbara Straight, three brothers, Joe, Jerry and Billy. Uncle Robert will be missed by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father MJ Straight.

Robert was happily married to Claudia for 17 years but have been madly in love for 22 years. They enjoyed many adventures together. Weekly hikes with their best friend Tom and celebrating their anniversaries in Las Vegas.  Robert’s favorite sport was hockey. He has been going to hockey games with Claudia for 16 years. Places they loved hiking was Castlewood Canyon. Mini trips to Estes Park and Manitou Springs were a few of their favorite spots together. They made vacation memories in Hawaii, Oregon, San Diego, Catalina Islands, and road trips to Kansas to see family. He collected shot glass from all his destinations and from friends who knew how much he loved his collection.

Robert loved his job and the people he worked with.  He took great pride in his career, and it was no secret.  Many friends and family reached out for his expertise. He loved to help.

Robert was also passionate about helping his community.  He enjoyed helping the unfortunate by feeding the homeless, clothing drives and fundraisers with his family church. He was so generous with his time and his smile brought so much joy to everyone he met.

Robert touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.

Family and friends and others whose lives were touched by Robert are invited to the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80014, on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 12 – 2pm to reminisce and grieve and a funeral service at 2pm. Family and friends are also invited to Peace of Christ Lutheran Church, 3290 S. Tower Road, Aurora, CO for a reception at 4:30pm.
