Robert âBobâ Tobin, 80, died peacefully on August 3, 2017. Bob was born on November 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended high school at Brooklyn Tech and graduated in 1954. Bob took evening classes at Pace College (now Pace University) while working and received his BBA degree in Accounting. Bob began his career with Western Electric in New York and moved with his family to Colorado in 1972. He transferred to Mountain Bell in Denver and he retired to his home in Arvada. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Telephone Pioneers Club of America. He also volunteered at the Phoenix Concept in Denver teaching computer skills to men in addiction rehabilitation. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, walking around the lake by home, and stamp collecting. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Tobin; and four children, Mark Tobin, Jeanne Tobin (Doug), Eileen Siegl (Mark), and Tricia Tersigni (Jim). He dearly loved his grandchildren: Nick, Maria, Anthony, Erich and Aaron. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Mary; and two brothers, Richard and Paul. Viewing and visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by Recitation of the Rosary with Sharing of Memories beginning at 7:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado 80003. A Funeral Mass will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community located at 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado 80003 on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing at 10:00 am at the church prior to the Mass. A reception for all attendees will be held in the Parish Hall after the Mass. Private Committal Services will be held later in the week.
