Robert Tortora

Robert Dominic Tortora, 31 years old, born July 20th 1989 and passed, April 18th 2021. Robby was born and raised in Golden, Colorado. He attended Golden High School and graduated in 2007 and continued his education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science. He was an avid hockey player, loved playing the guitar, cooking, eating heartily, seeing live music, being outdoors with his dog, Stella, and drinking an ice cold Pilsner with his family and friends. Anyone that knew Robby knew how big his heart was, how hard a worker he was and all the love and laughter he shared with his loved ones. He truly had a heart of gold and was always sure to tell you that he loved you and was always there to listen. His family is deeply saddened by his unexpected passing. He leaves behind, his mother Diane, his three sisters Sabrina, Britni and Alyssa, his brother-in-law, and his seven nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Robby so dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Tortora.

Robby’s family will be holding a viewing at Horan and McConaty Funeral Service on Thursday, April 29th at 5 pm. Family and friends are invited to come share their stories and memories of Robby starting at 6 pm. On Friday April 30th, there will be a funeral service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Golden, Colorado at 1:30 pm. After the funeral service, friends and family are welcome to join Robby’s mom and sisters to celebrate his life at the Golden City Brewery in downtown Golden. Robby’s death has left a hole and an empty space in his family and friends' hearts and will be deeply missed, but forever cherished.
