Bob Weber, formerly of Denver, died Monday, August 18, 2003, at his home in Tucson after a lengthy illness. He was born to John and Minnie Weber on January 9, 1924 in Adams County, Colorado. His career started at an early age, growing and selling fruit and vegetables at his business in the Home Public Market. He was well known in the Produce Industry, traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Newfoundland and Mexico. He grew and shipped potatoes from his farms and warehouses in California and Idaho to all the mainland states, and several other countries. He was the owner of R.C. Weber and Son, Shop-Rite Supermarket, Shop-Rite Floral And Garden Shop, Weber Brokerage and Bob's Fruits & Vegetables. He was the first to bring fruits and vegetables by air, from Los Angeles to Denver. His family always came first, but not stopping there, Bob made numerous lives happier and better by his support for people when they were in need. He was a member of the Elk's Club B.P.O.E. #1412, Blackfoot, Idaho for 49 years. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son George (Loretta); grandson Gregory (Thana); great-grandchildren Tan and Jen; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mann. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William; two brothers-in law, Ronald Welch and John Mann. Visitation, 5-7 pm followed by a Rosary, Tuesday 7:00 pm; Funeral Mass, Wednesday 10:00am. All services to be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made in the name of Robert, to the charity of your choice.
