Robert West

Robert “Bob” Bernard West, 85, of Westminster passed away on December 29, 2020 at Covenant Living of Colorado in Westminster. Born on October 22, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of Clarence and Ebba (Johnson) West. Bob married Ruth on December 28, 1957 at the Federated Church in Forsyth Montana. Together they shared 63 years of marriage.

They began their marriage in Chicago, lived in Indianapolis and finally settled in Colorado in 1972.

Bob founded Lamwood Systems in 1977 and continued to operate the business until 2004 when he passed it on to the second generation.

He enjoyed skiing, hiking, Hawaii, his cabin in the mountains and all things Montana.

He will be remembered for his faith, generosity, cheering for his kids and grandkids in their various endeavors and walking his faith. He was a founder of Faith Covenant Church, served on various boards including the Midwest Conference Board and Covenant Heights Board which he chaired.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his daughters, Julie Anderson and her husband, Chris, Karen Groot, and his son, Robert “Eric” West, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhea Osmun and son-in-law, Scott Groot.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at Arvada Covenant Church, 5555 Ward Road, Arvada, CO by Reservation Only due to Covid restrictions.
