Roberta Batchelder

Roberta Gayle Batchelder, 90, of Arvada passed away on July 6, 2021 at Nightingale Suites in Arvada, Colorado. Born on November 5, 1930 in Parnell, Missouri, she was the daughter of Orlie and Elma (Miller) Stutesman. Roberta married Verne Batchelder on March 15, 1949 and together they shared 59 years of marriage until his passing on December 15, 2008.

Roberta worked as a bookkeeper for a construction company, as well as for the Colorado Co-op Council and the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, getting together with family, reading, baking, bowling and sewing beautiful clothes.

Roberta is survived by her children, Marcie Harkness and her husband, Gregory Kim Harkness, Steven Batchelder and his wife, Leann, and Linda Turner and her fiancé, Craig Guenthner, and her grandchildren, Kristin Bailey, Benjamin Shern, Jeffrey Shern, Nick Turner, Natalie Zackery, Taylor Batchelder, Holly Goold and Andrew Flinner, and her great-grandchildren, Carmen Dudley, Payton Shern, Gavin Shern, Skylar Koch, Emily Shern, Noah Shern, Jackson Zackery, Madison Zackery, Alison Zackery, Harison Zackery, Arya Goold and Amelia Goold. She is also survived by her brothers, Ron Stutesman and his wife Nancy, Robert Stutesman and his wife Gayle, Terry Stutesman and his wife Kristi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, Verne, and her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Stutesman and her sister Loretta Rowe.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 10:30 am at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003.
