Roberta ""Bertie"" Lee Burley

Roberta Lee ""Bertie"" (Paine) Burley, 85, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2020. Roberta was born in Greeley, Colorado to Burton and Fern Paine on March 30, 1934. She lived in Byers, Colorado and for a short time in Leadville, Colorado during the Depression before the family moved back to Byers and eventually to the family farm 7 miles northeast of Byers. She was in 4-H and won many ribbons at the county and state fairs. She graduated from Strasburg high school and attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She graduated with a BS in home economics education. She taught in a one-room country school in Colby, Kansas for one year between her junior and senior year at CSU.

Roberta married Harrison Burley on July 20, 1957. They spent most of their 62 years together in their home in Denver, Colorado. They made many trips to many places by themselves and also with their children. They had a summer home in Gunnison, Colorado for a few years. They have attended Redeemer Temple together for many years and shared a strong faith in Jesus.

Roberta was a gifted cook, baker and a gracious hostess. Many parties and other get togethers were held in her home for family and friends. She was a great prayer warrior and friend, one you could count on to help you through life's difficulties.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Harrison, her children, Judy (Bill), Ron (Phyllis), Jeannie (Chris) and her grandchildren Elizabeth and Gianna. She was also stepmom to Johnny (Charlie) and grandma to Kristin (Brian), Jackie (Kevin), Jerri (Tim), Jan (Mike), Skyler, Tanner, Madison, Grant, Charity, Colton, Bennet and Lyla. She was also a beloved sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Fern Paine and her sister Joanne Robinson.

Memorial Service is going to be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, 11:00AM at Redeemer Temple, 3701 West 64th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado 80003
