Roberta ""Janelle"" Nare

October 7, 1944 — April 4, 2020

Roberta ""Janelle"" Nare, 75, was born October 7th, 1944 in Golden, Colorado, where she lived with her beloved grandmother for several years. After the passing of her grandmother, Janelle spent her adult life residing in the Denver Metro Area.

Janelle had a very fulfilling life. When she was younger, she spent time volunteering at MaxFund in Denver. She loved traveling, and especially enjoyed visiting Disneyland and Hawaii. She participated in a day program throughout the week, and especially enjoyed the exercise and cooking classes. Janelle was an artist, and loved to draw, color, paint, and crochet. She adored animals, especially cats, and had several four-legged ""kids"" over her lifetime. Janelle loved watching reruns of her favorite shows, especially M.A.S.H. and The Andy Griffith Show.

Janelle always spoke her mind and loved to joke around. She gave people nicknames, whether they wanted them or not. A master of many faces, she was known for her devilish grin and contagious smile. Janelle loved a good cup of coffee, autumn mountain drives, going to Red Robin for a mushroom burger, and shopping. She was always on the hunt for the perfect sweater.

As she grew older, Janelle began to need more assistance through the day. Ted, Arsi, and their children welcomed Janelle into their family September, 2016. Janelle enjoyed going to church and spending time with her host home family, and especially loved watching the kids play. The love and care Janelle received through her new family was a true blessing in her life.

Janelle passed away peacefully in her sleep April 4th, 2020. She will be remembered by so many people who loved her, including Tedros (Ted) Tesfey, Arsema (Arsi) Seyum, and their entire family, her housemate, Sherry, her cat, Summer, her close friend, Melissa Durkop, her close friend, Gregg, and the many loving supports she had through Aurora Mental Health Center, Choice Living Services, Mosaic in Denver, and Rocky Mountain Human Services.
