Robyn Curtis Anderson

December 6, 1957 — October 28, 2011

Robyn Curtis Anderson 1957~2011 A woman of majestic spirit, Robyn slipped peacefully away October 28, 2011, surrounded by her family. She remained teachable and determined during her four-year experience with ovarian cancer. Robyn was born, the fifth of seven children, to the late Marvin R. and Carrol R. Curtis. Salt Lake City, Utah, was the home of her happy childhood. It was there that she graduated from East High School and met her sweetheart, Lane J. Anderson. Robyn attended Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, and Regis University. Shortly after their marriage, Robyn and Lane moved to Chicago where they had seven enjoyable years. Denver has been their home for the past 22 years. Robyn considered her six children her greatest life's work and found true joy in mothering. She was the heart of a Christ-centered home. She was gifted with the ability to extract essential principles from vast amounts of information that she could apply and teach. She was life's most eager student. Robyn valued everyone and empowered many with her love and friendship. Many felt themselves to be, and in fact were, her dearest friend. Wildflowers, music, dances in the family room, rigorous tennis games and long mountain hikes added joyful dimension to her life. Robyn is survived by her loving companion, Lane J. Anderson; her six children: Jennie Linton (Scott), Annie Finlay (Ian), Lindsay Nielson (Kris), Kristen Ludwig (Brent), Whitney, and Nathan; three grandchildren; and Darlene Curtis, who married her father in later years. Robyn is also survived by her siblings: Rosemary Neider (Michael), Marv Curtis, Cory Curtis (Arwella), Natalie McCullough (Jim), Chris Curtis (Katie), and her sister-in-law, Amy Sutton-Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin R. and Carrol R. Curtis; brother, Matt Curtis; sister-in-law, Joan Cannon Curtis; and her grandson, Daniel Nielson. *** SERVICE INFORMATION *** A viewing will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, from 6:00-8:00pm, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E.
