Rocco ""Rocky"" Pomarico

In loving memory of Rocco ""Rocky"" R. Pomarico. Rocky passed away peacefully with his children by his side on December 18, 2016. A Colorado native, Rocky was born on October 6, 1925 in Denver; he was the son of the late Michael and Antonia (Vendegna) Pomarico. Rocky graduated from the University of ""Hard Knocks and Street Smarts"" to become the President and General Manager of Zenith Distributing Corporation until he retired in 1993. After retirement he shared his astute business knowledge as Vice Chairman of SCORE mentoring small business entrepreneurs. He was also a proud member of the Sons of Italy. He was a proud American who loved spending time with his family, going to Bronco games, fishing and eating a good hamburger. Rocky is survived by his son, Larry Pomarico; his daughter, Roxann Bihr and husband Hans; his sister, Mary Pomarico; his grandchildren, Leon Bihr and wife Shelley, and Allison Carow and husband Andy; and his great grandchildren, Logan and Madison. He is predeceased by his siblings, Nena Pomarico Pacheco and husband Frank, Salvatore Pomarico and wife Catherine, and Louis Pomarico and wife Candy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 3549 Navajo Street, Denver. Prior to, a visitation will be held in the church at 9AM. The Mass will be followed by a reception at Mount Carmel's Parish hall and burial at 2PM in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, CO.
