Rodney Francis Freimuth, ""Lil' Doc"" born on March 15, 1936 in Belfield, North Dakota, to Dr. Frank and Freda, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2007. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly, who he married on December 18, 1955, in Crawford, NE. Rod was the proud and devoted father of nine children; Robert, Colo. Springs, CO, Teresa (Lewis), Lakewood, CO, Richard, William, Anchorage, AK, Dr. Ronald, Parker, CO, David, Arvada, CO, Cheryl (McCleerey), Castle Rock, CO, Dr. Michael, Lakewood, CO, Christine (Parisi) Littleton, CO, and fourteen grandchildren; Scott, Christopher and Alex Freimuth, Chase and Michaela Lewis, Connor, Molly and Abby Freimuth, Andrew Freimuth, Jacob and Madison McCleerey, Emma Freimuth and Jaeleen and Julia Parisi. He is also survived by his sisters; MaryAnn Dercher, Overland, KS and Nancy Byrne, North Platte, NE and brothers; Joseph, Wilton, CT., John, Omaha, NE William, Farmington, NM, and Thomas, Omaha, NE and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen and son, Richard, Snowbird, Utah. Rodney, known as 'Pa Pa' to his grandchildren truly exemplified courage, humility, wisdom and wit. As a suma cum laude graduate of the University of Nebraska/Lincoln in 1961, Rod had a successful career in the aerospace and banking industries. He was well known and instrumental in the development of computer programming for the Mercury and Gemini projects at McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis, in the 1960's, the ATM machines for Manufacturer Hanover Trust Bank in New York, in the 1970's, and a systems analyst for Security Pacific, Denver in the 1980's. Rodney spent the last twenty five years truly inspiring family and friends with his unwavering faith, patience and love. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Light of the World Catholic Church, 10316 W. Bowles Ave., officiated by Fr. Michael and Rosary on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Golden, CO. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for the Denver Rescue Mission: Lawrence and Park Ave. West, Denver, CO 80205.
