Englewood, Colorado

Rodney A. Jesse passed away at the age of 64 at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado due to complications from COPD.  He was surrounded by family as he passed and was very loved and cared for. Rodney was born March 16, 1958 in Denver, Colorado and lived most of his life in Englewood, Colorado. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Marc, his sisters Lorene and Louise and brother-in-law Hubert. He has several nieces and nephews, Jeff and his wife Kim, Jim, Jennifer, David, Kate and grand nephew Cameron.

Rodney enjoyed the outdoors and would often go to the mountains, camp and fish. His favorite places to go were Blue Mesa, 11 Mile, Lake John, Big Creek Lakes, Williams Fork, Ontario Lake and Green Mountain Lake.

He loved being active and enjoyed bike rides with his daughter. He also played volleyball for many years with family and friends in a rec center league in Englewood.

Family was important to Rodney and he would spend holidays gathering and celebrating with his loved ones.

His generosity and kindness were exemplified by growing large vegetable gardens that he would share most of its bearing with family, friends and neighbors. He also loved to take in and care for feral cats around his neighborhood, further illustrating what a kind-hearted individual he was.

A Celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022, 2pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood.

A reception will follow the service at his sister Lorene’s house. Please contact Louise or Lorene if you would like to attend the reception but cannot attend the service.
