Rodney Lee Miller of Lakewood, Colorado passed away October 21, 2012. Rodney Lee Miller was born June 10, 1962 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1980, Worked at Edward's Market in Fort Morgan until he attend college at The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado; where he earned his B.S. in Business Administration, Cum Laude, in August 1983. He also earned a Management Information Sciences emphasis. He graduated from the University of Colorado Executive MBA program in 2001. Rodney worked at Mountain, Bell, U S West and Qwest for 28 years in finance, computer science, and sales operations. He retired as Vice President of Sale Operations at Qwest in April 2011.He was on the UNC Business School Board, volunteered at Junior Achievement and actively supported United Way, Bear Valley Church, and various charities. He always loved western movies especially John Wayne. He enjoyed yard work and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Miller. Survived by parents, Raymond I. Miller and Gloria (Frei) Miller; wife, Cathy Mortell Miller; daughters Alyssa and Lauren Miller; sister-in-law , Patti Daniels, brother-in-law, Leo Daniels of Gresham, WI; nieces, Lisa and Kelly Daniels, and nephew Nick Daniels. Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 29, 2012, 1:00 PM at Bear Valley Church, 10001 West Jewell, Lakewood, Colorado 80232. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made in Rodney's memory to Mile High United Way, 2505 18th Street Denver, Colorado 80211.
