Roger Burgard

(James) Roger Burgard, 78, of Arvada passed away on March 14, 2020 at St. Anthony Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 21, 1941 in Denver, Colorado he was the son of Kasper Joseph and Margaret Lauraine (Swift) Burgard.

Roger married his high school sweetheart Donna Lykou on February 11, 1962 and together they shared 58 years of marriage.

After 39 years of service, Roger retired from Coors Brewing Company.

Roger enjoyed any type of outdoor activity. He especially would look forward to his annual Elk hunting trip with his family and friends. Roger also loved to travel. He was able to visit all 50 US States in addition to taking numerous cruises.

He will be remembered for his welcoming personality, his abundant kindness and his fun sense of humor…He was always willing to ""offer a cold one"" to whomever.
In addition to his wife, Donna he is survived by his daughter, Janine (Steve), son Jamey (Becky), and grandchildren, Caitlin, Jordan and Alexis.
Services will be private. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later time.
