Roger Lee Van Deman of Littleton, CO Roger passed away at home on the evening of August 7th, surrounded by his loving wife, Pat, and his children and daughter-in-law. Although in his life he was indisputably the King of Salesmen, he was known best as an amazing father, grandfather, son, friend, brother, and husband. He loved his wife and family with his whole heart and was a caring friend to many, believing relentlessly in the goodness of those around him. In his 65 years, he never met a person with whom he couldn't share a story or a laugh. He had dazzling charisma, and tales of his and others' heroics, accompanied by tasteful expansions on the truth, were never hard to come by. We may never know the level of embellishment in some cases, but what we do know for sure is that his love for his family and friends came alive as he recounted stories of their achievements. He remembered everything that happened in the most positive light possible for those who were close to him. This was how he saw life. In his eyes, the people he loved were the most amazing people on the planet who excelled at everything they did. He was a true example of unconditional love, loyalty, and devotion. He will be missed by many and will forever live in the center of our hearts. He is survived by his wife Pat; daughter Lori; son Eric; three delightful grandchildren; parents Joe and Charlotte Van Deman; brothers James and Bryan; sister Jennifer; and many other beloved extended family members and friends. He joins his brother Gordon in the afterlife and was looking forward to seeing him again. We deeply miss you, Roger, Dad, Opa. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 20, at 10:30 am at: St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church 6673 West Chatfield Avenue Littleton, CO 80128 A reception will follow the service.
